Exploring the vibrant colors, rich traditions, and warm people of Punjab through the lens. A personal journey through my homeland's visual treasures.
There's something magical about photographing the land that shaped you. Punjab, with its golden wheat fields, colorful festivals, and warm-hearted people, has been my greatest muse and most challenging subject.
The Golden Fields
Every photographer chases the golden hour, but in Punjab during harvest season, the entire day glows gold. The wheat fields stretch endlessly, catching light in ways that seem almost painted.

Festival Colors
From the vibrant chaos of Holi to the illuminated nights of Diwali, Punjab's festivals are a photographer's dream. The colors, the movement, the raw emotion – it's overwhelming in the best way.
“In Punjab, every celebration is a symphony of color and joy. My job is simply to listen with my camera.”
— Ashwinder Sethi

The People
What makes Punjab truly special is its people. The warmth, the hospitality, the unguarded moments of joy – these are the subjects that move me most. A grandmother's wrinkled smile, children playing in the streets, farmers sharing chai – these moments tell our story.
- Always ask permission before photographing people
- Learn a few phrases in Punjabi – it opens doors
- Be patient – the best moments come to those who wait
- Respect cultural and religious sensitivities
- Give back – share your photos with your subjects
Punjab has given me everything – my roots, my vision, my purpose. Every photograph I take is a small thank you to this incredible land and its people.
